Signing up for HeyNews

Creating your account

Go to app.heynews.co. The sign-up form is shown on the first screen.

You can create an account three ways:

  • Email. Enter your email and click Create Account. HeyNews sends a verification link to your inbox. Click the link to activate your account.
  • Email and password. Click Or sign up with password, enter your email, create a password with at least 8 characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, a number, and a special character, then click Create Account. You'll still confirm the account from a verification email.
  • Google. Click Sign up with Google and authorize with your Google account. No verification email is needed.

During registration, you can also opt in to receive product tips and newsletter growth advice by keeping the newsletter checkbox selected. This is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

If you start from a HeyNews pricing or offer link, the selected plan, billing cycle, and discount code stay with your signup. If the discount cannot be used, checkout still opens normally so you can continue or enter another code.

Already have an account?

If you try to sign up with an email that's already registered, HeyNews shows a "Welcome Back" screen. The button sends a sign-in link if the account is ready to use. If its email still needs verification, the button sends a fresh verification and sign-in link instead. Open the newest email: an earlier verification link stops working once a new one is sent.

What happens after signup

Once a normal self-serve account is confirmed, HeyNews sets up a publication for your content and newsletters.

The verification link in your signup email verifies your address and signs you in. Your first screen asks you to connect your newsletter. If you have no newsletter to connect, choose that option to get help with your setup path.

If you already have a creator newsletter, HeyNews asks where your past issues live: beehiiv, Kit, a public archive/RSS URL, or a CSV export. It checks the source and saves the connection for Voice Training once your subscription or Trial is active.

If you have no newsletter to connect, choose I don't have a newsletter to connect. Where the Format Generator is available, you can describe the newsletter you want to create and review a proposed Format. Its separate $19 checkout saves your card; eligible customers' trials start when they approve the Newsletter Format. Otherwise, HeyNews asks a few setup questions and directs new Creator and Company newsletters to a setup call.

For an existing newsletter, HeyNews usually asks for a payment method after the preview. The standard Checkout starts a 14-day Trial without charging your card that day. A no-trial offer starts a paid subscription instead. Voice Training begins once your subscription or Trial is active.

If a pricing or offer link brought you to signup, checkout opens with that plan, billing cycle, and discount code already selected when they are available.

Some offer links ask for a payment method right after you sign in. Stripe opens before the regular setup steps and shows the selected plan, any Trial terms, and the date billing starts, so you can check them before you confirm. If you leave Checkout, you can come back and try again without creating another account. Opening the confirmation email on another device brings you to the same step. After you save a payment method, HeyNews confirms it before setup continues. If that takes more than a few seconds, choose Check again. You can also choose Go to the dashboard to leave the confirmation page. If HeyNews cannot find your Publication, choose Try again to reload it, or return to the dashboard.

If you switch App Language on the sign-up, login, or password reset screens, HeyNews uses that language for the matching account emails when it can. HeyNews remembers App Language choices you make yourself for future visits. Language attached to a one-time verification link only affects that visit.

Free trial details

If your offer includes a Trial, it includes:

  • 5 draft issues (total, not per day)
  • Unlimited AI writers
  • 5 AI revisions per draft
  • 1 publication

A payment method is required to activate the trial before training starts. You get 14 days and up to 5 draft issues. Subscription billing begins when the trial ends; the separate Format Fee applies if you choose Format Generator setup. HeyNews sends reminder emails before the trial ends, and you can cancel before then to avoid subscription charges.

Logging in

After signing up, log in at app.heynews.co with any of these three methods:

  • Email and password
  • Magic link (enter your email, click the link we send)
  • Google

After your email is verified, all three methods work regardless of how you originally signed up. If you signed up with Google, you can also use a magic link or password. If you signed up with email, you can use Google later too.

If your email is not verified

Requesting a magic link sends a fresh verification link instead. Open the newest email to verify your address and continue. An older verification link stops working when you request another one.

If you try your password first, choose Resend verification email from the message on the login page. Opening an old or invalid link does not send another email automatically; return to Login to request one.

If you cannot sign in

If you forget your password, or HeyNews says your account needs a new one, choose Forgot password? on the login page. Use the reset code sent to your email to set a new password, then sign in again.

If HeyNews asks you to wait after several attempts, wait before trying again. If it says it cannot deliver email to your address, check the address you entered or contact support@heynews.co.

Sign-in and verification messages follow the App Language selected on the page. Your Newsletter Language stays separate.
