On July 31 we shortened story history to 90 days on Hobbyist, Starter, Pro, and trial accounts. We did that to reduce storage, and it turned out to reduce almost none. So we have reversed it.
Every plan keeps a full year of stories again. Nothing was lost in between: the older stories were never deleted, only hidden, so they are already back in Content Desk, Compose, Smart Select, and automations with nothing for you to do.
Issues you already wrote were never affected either way. Every draft keeps its own copy of the stories it used.
When a site will not give HeyNews the full article, the story is saved with just the publisher's summary and marked Summary only. Smart Select now skips those and fills your draft from complete articles instead.
You can still pick one by hand if you want it. When you do, your AI Writer works from the short description and links out to the original rather than writing around material it does not have.
Account deletion now removes you from the services HeyNews uses to send email, run the product, and support you, not just from HeyNews itself. Payment and invoice records stay with our payment provider because tax law requires it, and we say so plainly. Ask support for a deletion certificate if you need proof of what was removed.
