Content Desk and Compose keep 90 days of stories on Hobbyist, Starter, Pro, and trial accounts. A paid Team plan keeps a full year.
Most weeks this changes nothing. Newsletters are built from recent stories, and everything from the last three months stays exactly where it was. The one real change: if you have been collecting stories for longer than 90 days on a plan below Team, those older stories are removed and cannot be brought back.
Issues you already wrote are safe. Every Draft keeps its own copy of the stories it used, so past issues open and read the same way they always did.
Upgrading to Team starts your year of history from the day you upgrade. It does not bring back stories that were already removed, so upgrade before you need the history rather than after.
Cancel a paid Team plan and your year of stories is kept for another 30 days, in case you change your mind. Your view drops back to 90 days when the plan ends, so the older stories are off screen during that window, but they are still there: resubscribe within 30 days and the full year comes back. After that, stories older than 90 days are removed for good, and resubscribing later starts a fresh year from that day.
The cancellation screen now spells this out before you confirm, so the decision is in front of you rather than buried in a help article. You only see that note when your publication actually has the full year to lose. If Team was granted to you rather than paid for, you are already on 90 days, canceling costs you nothing extra, and the note stays hidden.
Some sites, press release wires most of all, will not serve their pages to anything that is not a person in a browser. Pasting one of those links into Add a story used to end with a vague "could not find an article". HeyNews now recognizes the block and tells you what actually works: open the article in Chrome and save it with the extension, which reads the page from the session you are already signed in to.
Paste a page that lists several articles and you get a straight answer too. Add it as a source and HeyNews will pull its articles in on its own. Both messages appear in Turkish as well as English.
When a publisher changes the date on a post, the link usually changes with it and the old one stops working. HeyNews now looks for the article at its new address instead of writing it off as unreadable. The story reaches Content Desk, and the link in your Draft opens the article.
When a source publishes only a short summary and the full article cannot be read, HeyNews used to discard it. That summary now becomes a story marked Summary only in Content Desk, so you can see it and decide whether to use it. Full articles are still preferred whenever any part of the pipeline can fetch one.
