The app is much faster
HeyNews loads 74% less data when you open it. Pages load on demand instead of all at once, and once you visit a page, it stays cached, so going back is instant. Hover over a sidebar link, and the page starts loading before you even click.
You're no longer limited to one platform. Connect beehiiv and Kit simultaneously, with as many newsletters as your subscription allows. Your email draft limit scales with your newsletters: 30 drafts per month per newsletter.
Head to Settings > Connections to add another newsletter.
Dashboard shows your latest issues
The "Recent Newsletter Issues" section on the dashboard used to show data from when you first connected. Now it pulls live performance stats from all your connected platforms, updated every 6 hours. Click "View all" to jump to the full Analytics page.
- Help & Docs now opens inside the app instead of sending you to an external site
- What's New, Submit Feedback, and Help & Docs all sit in the sidebar footer. No more hunting through multiple menus.
- On mobile, the footer shows as a compact icon row, so it's always visible on shorter screens
- Better keyboard navigation and screen reader support
Fixes
- Analytics showed inflated numbers. Open and click rates were displaying 100x too high for beehiiv users (5000% instead of 50%, for example). Fixed.
- Analytics showed nothing for some beehiiv users. A connection issue on our end meant performance data wasn't syncing. Existing connections now work without any action on your part.
- The AI Writers card said "Start Training" mid-training. The dashboard card now shows the actual training status instead of always prompting you to start.
- Training was marked as failed even though it mostly worked. If most of your AI writer training finished fine, but a small part didn't, the dashboard showed a blanket failure. Now it shows success, and we handle the rest behind the scenes.
- Kit onboarding didn't start training. Connecting Kit during onboarding silently skipped voice training. It starts automatically now.
- Promo codes work at checkout. If you have a discount code, you can now enter it when you subscribe.
