Story picks stay in the right publication

If you manage more than one newsletter in HeyNews, Compose and Smart Select now stay closer to the publication you're working in. Story suggestions, story filters, and selected-story usage no longer borrow context from another newsletter in your account.

That means fewer odd matches and a cleaner story list when each publication has its own audience, sources, and voice.

Clearer access to older stories

HeyNews now handles story access by plan more consistently. If a story is outside your current access window, HeyNews keeps the locked details out of the draft flow and shows a clearer upgrade path instead of letting the draft fail later.

Selected stories also keep their original dates during draft generation, so stories you chose on purpose are not rejected because their date was lost in the background.

Smarter source checks

Recurring RSS and social source checks now pause when there is no active publication that can use the results. When an active publication needs the source again, checks resume.

For active newsletters, this keeps source syncing focused on feeds that matter. For larger accounts, story and source lists should also feel more dependable as libraries grow.

Fixes

  • RSS feed checks resume correctly when a publication starts using a shared feed again.
  • Story detail pages, filters, and usage tracking now follow the current publication more reliably.
  • Some AI drafts that failed because of model settings now complete correctly.
