More control over your subscription

You can now handle more subscription changes directly from Settings > Subscription.

If you need a break, pause your subscription for one month. Billing stops during the pause, your existing newsletters and settings stay readable, and you can resume at any time. HeyNews also resumes automatically at the end of the month.

Canceling is clearer too. Share a short reason, review any save options, then schedule cancellation for the end of the billing period. If a cheaper plan fits your current usage, you can switch before canceling. If you change your mind, use Keep my subscription before the period ends.

Better story titles and source labels

Content Desk now keeps story titles closer to the original article or video. YouTube stories show the native video title and published date, and renaming a source no longer rewrites the titles of stories that came from it.

Search is more useful as well. It checks titles, summaries, source names, and URLs, so you can find a story even when you remember a topic, site, or link instead of the exact headline.

Fixes

  • Stripe Portal cancellations now show up correctly in HeyNews, including the option to keep your subscription before the billing period ends.
  • Scheduled downgrades now use the correct billing period when Stripe stores it on the subscription item.
  • Trial cancellation and missing-payment-method handling are more consistent.
  • Retrying a stuck story extraction clears old error messages once the retry succeeds.
