Drafts now check the weekdays they print against the calendar, and a thin news week no longer has to mean a skipped automation. A Friday printed as a Saturday is now ours to catch, ideally before your readers do. Help opens a support chat now, and a few beehiiv draft problems are fixed.
Compose and Draft Automation now check dates printed with a weekday, like "Saturday, Aug 29", against the calendar, in English and Turkish. When the weekday is wrong, HeyNews tries one fix. It changes the date only when your selected Stories show which part is wrong. Otherwise it saves the Draft as written and shows Check these dates in Compose, with the day that date really falls on.
To avoid false alarms, it skips ranges like "Aug 29-30" and dates months away from your issue date.
When there aren't enough complete Stories, Select Best and Draft Automation now add Stories marked Summary only until they reach the minimum: three, or your automation's Minimum stories. An automation that used to skip a thin week can now create its Draft. Your AI Writer mentions and links each Summary only Story without writing more than its short description, so read those Drafts closely before you publish.
If your AI Writer has sections, Select Best now leaves a section short when no Story fits it, instead of filling it with Stories that don't belong. Add one by hand if you want that section filled.
Help now opens our support chat, the same chat as the button in the corner of the app. Chat needs Functional cookies turned on in Cookie preferences. Without them, Help opens the new HeyNews Help Center at help.heynews.co in a new tab. You can still email support@heynews.co.
