You no longer need past issues to set up a newsletter. Answer a few questions about what you want to publish and who it is for, and HeyNews researches your subject, checks real Sources, and designs a complete Newsletter Format: the Sections, the Style Rules, the visual styling, and the links you will reuse every issue.
Then it writes you a Demo Issue from stories published in the last few days, as a real Draft you can edit in Compose. Approve it and HeyNews sets up the Publication and AI Writer you will use from then on.
A Newsletter Format costs $19 and includes one Re-run if the first attempt misses. If you are new to HeyNews, you pick a monthly plan at checkout and the 14-day trial starts when you approve your Format, not before. If you already pay for HeyNews, you pay the $19 and nothing changes about your subscription.
Every Newsletter Format comes with a report of what HeyNews verified: the Sources it validated, the headlines it found, the Style Rules it wrote, and anything it could not resolve.
Flagged checks are editable. Fix one and save, and HeyNews checks your Format again, so what you fixed disappears and anything your edit broke shows up. If checks are still flagged when you approve, HeyNews asks you to confirm you have read them, then lets you through. A flagged check is information, not a roadblock.
A Publication created this way needs a sending platform connected before you can create more Drafts or set up Draft Automation. Connect beehiiv and pick the destination from Connections, and everything else works as usual.
