Onboarding used to open with a question: are you a Creator or a Company, and does your newsletter already exist? You had to answer it before HeyNews would show you anything.
Now you start where the work actually is. The first screen asks you to connect your newsletter, and connecting it answers the setup question on its own. If you link a beehiiv or Kit account, a public archive, an RSS address, or upload a CSV of past issues, HeyNews already knows what you are setting up and never asks.
Setup is two screens now instead of three.
If you do not have a newsletter to connect yet, choose I don't have a newsletter to connect on that first screen and HeyNews will ask the setup question then. Company newsletters and newsletters you have not launched yet still go through a short setup call, exactly as before, and you can go back to connecting a newsletter at any point.
Nothing changes for you if you already finished setting up.
Copy settings from another AI Writer used to swap out the receiving writer's Style Rules and Reusable Links for the ones you picked. Now it keeps what that writer already has and adds your selection on top. The writer you copy from is never changed.
If you were using this to make one writer match another, copy first, then remove the Style Rules and Reusable Links you do not want on the receiving writer. HeyNews skips items that writer already has, so you will not end up with the same rule or link twice.
